Discover Windsor Gardens-
The Proven Community For Active Adults

The Test of Time. Nothing is more exacting or illuminating, and Windsor Gardens has measured up for over 40 years. Conveniently located in southeast Denver, Windsor Gardens opened in 1962 as Colorado's first shared ownership community. Since then, thousands of active adults have happily called Windsor Gardens home - attracted by its upscale facilities, innovative programs and strong sense of community.
Beauty abounds in Windsor Gardens 143 acres. The tree-studded Highline Canal borders the south side of the complex, inviting fellow walkers, joggers, bikers and bird watchers to follow its winding path. On the west side of the
complex, a walking trail has been carved out of a former wetlands preserve with benches to rest on and observe the sights and sounds of nature. In the complex itself, grounds crews plant and maintain approximately 60,000 flowers and shrubs each year. At Christmas, a lighting and decoration contest among buildings transforms the community into a winter wonderland.
A safe environment also draws residents to Windsor Gardens, which year after year ranks either at or near the bottom of Denver's neighborhood crime statistics. The community's own eight-member security force keeps a watchful eye on the complex 24 hours a day. And, of course, Windsor Gardens also receives protection from the Denver police and fire departments.
